Outer Courtyard (Sahan)
The Sahan (courtyard) is usually found in larger ‘Grand’ mosque structures, usually square or rectangular shaped open space.
The Sahan area is a main part of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – Al Fujairah and occupies the largest area. As 4,884 m2 of the main courtyard is roofed, and accommodate 6,750 worshipers, with a total open area of 5,124 m2, which accommodate 7,000 worshipers.
